Saturday and Sunday 25 and 26 May 2024, the Art of Comics in Pontedera.
This is the most important event in recent years in Pontedera.
An opportunity for city and for comics lovers, for an exploration through the "talking clouds" that have passed through multiple generations.

Comics are an essential part of popular culture, as Umberto Eco underlined: “Comics are a form of high culture”.
Human beings have always used graphic design with verbal language to communicate.
With the evolution of time, comics have taken on and modified their own language and means of expression, adapting to the important changes of the digital age.

This edition, organized by the ”Il Germoglio” Gallery and its scientific committee, will bring together authors from different experiences who have established themselves on the national scene and international.
Numerous cartoonists have joined the event and among them illustrious names stand out.

The objective is to organize an important event in terms of quality and content, with the aim of fitting into a significant context of the COMICS events., q something that goes beyond the stereotype of the comic, trying to delve into themes that have gradually modified the typical approach of the language.

It will be important to try to identify and debate the new frontiers of comics culture, illustration, the connections with cinema, the influences of new technologies, these are the themes that we will try to face.
In this context, “Il Salotto del Fumetto” was born with the aim of giving continuity to the contents of this project.
Everything will be useful so that events can also be developed at other times of the year, with exhibitions, exhibitions and reviews.

Thanks to Marco Turini, one of the most important presences at the Pontedera event, which with great motivation will allow cultural exchanges between the cities of Prague and Pontedera.

The event on 25 and 26 May 2024 will take place inside the "IL GERMOGLIO" gallery and along the entire Via Guerrazzi, where there will be music and collateral activities.
