The Ninth Art
In the international market of the ninth art, namely comics, Italian artists have always stood out for their unique style, characterized by dynamic, engaging and realistic illustrations. This visual approach has led to the birth of a real phenomenon known as “Italian Invasion”, which has seen numerous local talents find fortune first in America and then throughout the world. Their works have profoundly influenced the comics industry, also contributing to the growth of a passionate collecting, often born from readers fascinated by these powerful and meaningful images.
Thanks to comics, often underestimated as an art form, many people around the world – adults and young people – have approached visual art, becoming collectors of works of art that, although they depict less “classical” subjects, are capable of evoking emotions, telling stories and leaving a lasting impression.
Some of those Italian artists, today considered true legends of comics, have been a fundamental source of inspiration for me. When I first saw their representations of fantastic characters, made with classic painting techniques, I felt that this would also be my path. The images you find in this section of the site are the result of years of study, experimentation and work.
Most of the works are hand painted, but some are penciled, some inked, some digitally colored or entirely digital.
This is the largest category on the site: a collection that celebrates comic book characters and our beloved superheroes.
Many of the illustrations are available for purchase in the SHOP section.
